japanese horror movies part 2

Some of the J horror movies are based on some of their well known creepy/scary urban legends and folklore. The movies that are based on them might be scary/creepy try reading the urban legends themselves and see how scary it really is.

This are some movies that are based on urban legends.

 Kuchisake - onna ( slit-mouthed woman )

the legend goes that a woman walking in the middle of the night ask kids if she is beautiful and if they say no she kills them, if they say yes she takes of her mask and ask again if they say no she splits them in half and if they say yes she slit their mouths like hers

Teke teke

The legend goes that a woman who died because of a train accident and then cut in half she became a vengeful spirit who carries a scythe that walks using her arms dragging the scythe and when she encounter someone she cuts them in half also to mimic what happened to her.

this two are the only movies i know that are based on urban legend. i heard there are alot more. :) 

japanese horror movies

Everyone knows the best horror movies come from Asia to be specific Japan. unlike western style horror movies Japanese horror movies focuses on psychological horror and tension building that particularly involve ghost or poltergeist while many contain theme of folk religion like shamanism and yokai. Japanese horror movies not only scare the life out of us but also makes us think because we to know the reasons "why is it happening who is at fault and what is the reason" its the suspense of the movie that draws us to it, it is the reason we still watch it even though we are scared. J horror movies also teach us about their tradition and culture, folklore.

here are some of my favorite and i think is scary JHM. :3



Chakushin Ari ( one missed call ) trilogy

The Grudge

Most of us didn't know that the Ju-on the grudge has 7 movies all in all...

it all follows the murder of the family in nerima all who enters the house of the family is cursed 

The ring

this movie is base on the popular Japanese ghost story  Bancho sarayashiki. 

these are just some popular and scary J horror films there are alot more...

Nerdy neighborhood in tokyo

For those who wants to visit japan someday and is a major otaku or nerd don't forget to visit the best place to go if you are an otaku or nerd in tokyo. :3

 Akihabara

Akibahara is a great place where you can get electronics or gadgets and games and also anime and manga materials. There is also a number of maid cafes for those who wants to be called "Master" :)

A taste of japan in the metro..

If you guys are craving for Japanese ramen here it the Philippines well here are my top two places where you can find the best ramen in the metro.

First is
Hanamaruken Ramen

 

Located at Trinoma Mall, North Triangle, Quezon City
for me this one is the best cause you can really taste that authentic Japanese flavor in the ramen one of the pictures above is one of their best seller the pork belly ramen. They offer not only ramens but also different  rice bowls(Donburi).

Second is
Ryu Ramen & Curry



Located at UP town Center, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City
Ryu ramen came in second because of the uniqueness of its ramens. they have so many to choose from and the also offer rice meals and curry meals.there are also many branches of RYU Ramen in the metro.


Remember my opinion is different from yours, try them now and taste for yourselves.... :)

Japanese music

There are so many types of music that is becoming a trend now a days. one example of this is Kpop. But there is one pop music genre that is not quite known here in the Philippines and it is Jpop or Japanese pop.

some say that Jpop is just compose of anime songs but they don't know that there is much more to jpop than anime songs there are so many japanese song artist like.. :)
